Recently cities including Philadelphia in the US and Bristol in England, plus the country of Wales, have been putting out the call for LGBTQ parents who are interested in fostering and adoption.

In the United States
“Organizers say they want to make LGBTQ couples aware they can foster children. They said sometimes, they’re the best to help children who may be having a touch time with their identity.”
“Philly puts out ‘urgent’ call – 300 families needed for fostering – “There’s a great need for people who will welcome LGBT children and mothers with babies.”
In the United Kingdom
“Same-sex couples are being encouraged to adopt or foster children by Bristol City Council. LGBT people are being reassured they will not be discriminated against in Bristol, with the council holding an event for those interested in adoption or fostercare.”
“1 in 8 adoptions in Wales were with same-sex couples in 2016-2017. There are 140 children who are currently waiting for an adoptive family but only one in eight adoptions in Wales were with same-sex couples since being allowed in 2005.”
