France24: France marks five-year anniversary of same-sex marriage

“As couples in France mark five years on Monday since same-sex marriage was made legal with the hashtag #5ansMariagePourTous, ex-president François Hollande expressed regret at not having done more to advance the rights of “non-traditional” families.”  Children of same-sex couples officially recognized in a first for Italy

Italy: “Three gay couples in the northern city of Turin have been able to legally register their children to both parents, in a first for Italy. ‘Today an important page of history has been written,’ said the mother of one of the children.”

Business Insider:  Estée Lauder is now paying employees $10,000 to adopt and giving parents 20 weeks of paid leave

Nice job Estee Lauder! “The expanded benefits package now includes 20 weeks of paid leave, $10,000 toward adoption, and a back-to-work transition program — regardless of sex, gender, and sexual orientation. The company will also continue to offer $20,000 toward fertility treatments as well as in-home child care and elder care at a reduced rate.”

ABC AU:  Same-sex adoption laws pass in NT after personal debate on Parliament floor

“Last week both sides of Parliament agreed to axe an old adoption law that only allowed married heterosexual couples, or those in a traditional Aboriginal marriage, the right to adopt children.
