New Video: The Personal is Political for Activist Gabriel Blau and his Family

As a religious jew, when Gabriel Blau first became interested in LGBT activism, his efforts were focused on the intersection of spirituality and homosexuality.  At the same time, he knew he always wanted children.  The possibility was even discussed on the first date with his future husband, Dylan.

Soon after their son, Elijah, was born,  Gabriel’s activism shifted to LGBT families, where he served as the Executive Director of the Family Equality Council.

During his tenure, he worked to shed light on several, lesser-known aspects of LGBT family building; for example, not only do a third of families live in the South, but two-parent households are 60% more likely to be multi-racial.
